Mental Health Associate Fulltime

Responsibilities

Position is for 40 hours a week. Shifts available: 6a-2p, 2p-10p, 10p-6a. Must have weekend shift availability.

San Marcos Treatment Center is a 212‑bed, seclusion‑free psychiatric residential treatment facility located between Austin and San Antonio in the heart of Central Texas. The facility spans 65 acres with trees and wildlife, 13 unique living units separated by gender, age, and developmental levels, two swimming pools, two gymnasiums, a sports court, playing fields, a ropes course, a canteen, a social area, and a healing trail.

Mental Health Associates provide a safe and therapeutic environment, implement the daily program schedule, and perform accurate clinical and administrative documentation. They communicate with co‑workers, supervisors, and other team members regarding patient care and safety concerns.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Current CPR certification preferred
• Psychiatric experience preferred (2 years)
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Able to pass a criminal background check and pre‑employment drug screening
