Responsibilities
Provide a safe and therapeutic environment for children in our care. Implement the daily program schedule. Maintain accurate clinical and administrative documentation. Communicate with co‑workers, supervisors, and other team members regarding patient care and safety concerns.
Work 40 hours per week. Shift availability: 6a-2p, 2p-10p, 10p-6a. Must have weekend shift availability.
San Marcos Treatment Center is a 212‑bed, seclusion‑free, psychiatric residential treatment facility located between Austin and San Antonio in the heart of Central Texas. The center spans 65 acres with trees, wildlife, 13 unique living units separated by gender, age, and development levels, two swimming pools, two gymnasiums, a sports court, playing fields, a ropes course, a canteen, a social area, and a healing trail.
We provide 24‑hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 6 to 17 with customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs.

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Psychiatric experience preferred (2 years)
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Able to pass a criminal background check and pre‑employment drug screening
