Required Qualifications
- Licensure as a psychologist in Texas (or other location eligible for Texas psychology licensure at the doctoral level). Texas license must be obtained within 12 months of start date and must be maintained to remain eligible for employment.
- 4-6 years post psychologist licensure experience in managing or providing services for anxiety or mood management
- Experience in providing manualized and/or time effective services for anxiety concerns
- Experience in managing a clinical intervention program or project
- Eligibility to provide clinical supervision in an APA accredited training program
- Experience in providing crisis intervention services
- Experience in developing and providing prevention related programming for a college-aged population
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a higher education counseling setting or with a similar adult population (may include doctoral internship, postdoctoral residency or practicum experiences).
- 1-2 years engaging with a program or initiative focused on reducing clinical concerns/enhancing resiliency
- Additional interests and experience in one or more of the following areas is highly preferred: assessment/ data management, center operations, crisis management, mindfulness, groups, clinical training/supervision, skills-based interventions, or substance use/abuse.
- Experience actively engaging in practice with populations evidencing a variety of life experiences.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, campus departments, and student groups
- Experience working as a member of a clinically based professional team (including related academic training).
- Experience with in a multifaceted framework involving strongly linked clinical and training efforts.

Located within the Division of Student Success and accredited by IACS, the Center is also proud to host a well-respected APA‑accredited doctoral internship program as well as practicum training and a post‑doctoral residency.
In addition to general professional staff duties, this position provides coordination and leadership for the Center’s Anxiety and Stress Management Initiative. The position works with the Associate Director/Clinical Services, the Director, and other Center Leadership to refine the vision, mission, operations, and staffing of the Anxiety Initiative. This position will collaboratively structure the elements of the Initiative with attention to the phase in period;
refine program development, delivery and assessment; collaborate with other areas within the Center to share staffing and program resources to serve the needs of student participants; and provide services within a high demand/fast paced setting.
Successful candidates will have a generalist orientation and evidence knowledge and experiences responsive to the needs of a vibrant university community. Further, they will possess specific interests and experiences in providing developmentally-based services which support the mission of an engaged university counseling center.

- Develop/refine group and individual training opportunities
- Marketing and services promotion
- Recruit, select, and supervise graduate staff, as available
