Mental Health Associate - Pt

Responsibilities

Provide a safe and therapeutic environment. Implement daily program schedule. Maintain accurate clinical and administrative documentation and communicate with co‑workers, supervisors, and other team members about patient care and safety concerns.

Position is 24 hours a week.

Shifts:

6a-2p, 2p-10p, 10p-6a. Must be available on weekends.

The San Marcos Treatment Center is a 212‑bed psychiatric residential treatment facility located between Austin and San Antonio, Texas. The 65‑acre campus has living units separated by gender, age, and developmental level, two swimming pools, two gymnasiums, a sports court, playing fields, a ropes course, a canteen, social area, and a healing trail. The facility provides 24‑hour psychiatric care to girls and boys ages 6‑17 with customized therapeutic approaches and intensive behavioral programs to teach them to moderate behavior, manage emotions, and improve social functioning.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current CPR certification preferred.
• Psychiatric experience preferred (2 years).
• At least 21 years of age.
• Able to pass a criminal background check and pre‑employment drug screening.
