Job DescriptionJoin a global leader in pressure and temperature calibration, contributing to a team that provides innovative solutions and products to a wide range of industries worldwide. You will work across a spectrum of projects, including sustaining engineering, new product development, and production support, with a focus on software and firmware applications.
Responsibilities- Work on and take ownership of software and firmware development tasks.
- Engage in design discussions and participate in code reviews.
- Troubleshoot software and firmware applications.
- Mentor interns or new hires and participate in team discussions.
- Fix bugs and support production with technical expertise.
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.
- Experience with embedded software and low-level communication protocols.
- Proficiency in working with custom Linux builds and bare-metal environments.
- Strong knowledge of embedded hardware, Linux, Yocto, and cybersecurity.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing or production settings is a plus.
- Ability to articulate complex technical experiences effectively.
You will be working in a manufacturing/production setting, seated with marketing and sales in a modern, well-equipped facility. The team is small and collaborative, comprising a lead and two other engineers. The company offers a family-like culture with a very friendly atmosphere, including a breakroom stocked with snacks, drinks, and coffee, as well as an onsite gym for employees.
Job Type & LocationContract to Hire position based out of San Marcos, TX.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41.00 - $48.00/hr.
