Staff Accountant | Real Estate

Emeryville, CA (Parking Covered | Flexible Hybrid after onboarding)

This is an outstanding opportunity to join one of the country's most respected real estate development firms, known for transforming airports, military bases, and urban industrial sites into vibrant mixed-use communities across the U.S.

You'll join a collaborative accounting team supporting multi-billion-dollar development projects while gaining exposure to complex real estate accounting, joint ventures, project accounting, and financial reporting-all within a company that truly invests in its people.

What You'll Do

✔ Support accounting across multiple real estate entities and development projects

✔ Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and assist with month-end close

✔ Review and code invoices while supporting project and entity accounting

✔ Partner with development, accounting, and capital teams on financial reporting

✔ Assist with budgets, forecasts, audits, and investor reporting

✔ Help improve processes as the company continues investing in new technology and automation

Requirements

What We're Looking For

+ 2-5 years of accounting experience

+ Real estate, construction, development, or project-based accounting experience preferred

+

Experience with general ledger accounting and multi-entity environments

+ Yardi, MRI, or similar ERP experience is a plus

+ Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a mindset of ownership and accountability
