About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This role will be responsible for supporting the month-end close process, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting fundamentals and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare and post journal entries

+ Perform bank and balance sheet account reconciliations

+ Assist with month-end and year-end close activities

+ Maintain the general ledger and supporting schedules

+ Analyze financial data and investigate discrepancies

+ Support accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed

+ Assist with audit requests and financial reporting

+ Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

+ 2+ years of accounting experience

+ Knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles

+

Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP

+

Experience with accounting software or ERP systems preferred

+ Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
