We are seeking a Senior 3D Artist to develop models for our 3D interactive virtual training and serious games. The position requires a self‑disciplined person who is detailed oriented and can work closely with our development team to create high quality experiences and applications tailored for specific customer use cases.

Position SummaryAs an artist, you will create detailed models, textures, rigging and animations of mechanical and electrical equipment. This individual will interface with a wide variety of people throughout the organization at differing levels of technical expertise, and must have professional development experience and an eye for organization and timelines.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Follow Heartwood art process and standards
- Work closely with designer(s) to realize their vision and make the 3D content realistic
- Follow technical documents from our customers to mimic a real‑world object
- Assist in evaluation and selection of technology solutions
- 3‑5 years professional experience creating detailed hard surface models in 3DS Max for game engines
- Basic mechanical rigging such as IK and constraints
- Texturing using Substance Painter
- Knowledge of P materials
- Knowledge of importing models, textures and animations to Unity
- Basic animation knowledge for hard surface items such as tools and parts
- Focused and clear communication skills; able to gain trust and respect of peers and stakeholders
- Good interpersonal and collaboration skills, relationship building, and negotiation
- Mechanical and/or electrical engineering background
- Ability to read mechanical drawings
- Knowledge of Unreal Engine
- Knowledge of CAD programs, models, and conversion methods
- Agile and Scrum development
This job has no supervisory duties.
