Our programs currently serve youth participants from Kindergarten through 8th grade, and our partners include premier high schools and NCAA athletic programs across various sporting disciplines.

Position Overview

Next Level Sports is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Email Marketing Associate / Copy editor to support the execution and optimization of email and messaging campaigns across both commercial and operational channels. This role will play a key part in ensuring all outbound communications are accurate, on-brand, compliant, and performance-driven.

The ideal candidate combines technical proficiency in email platforms with strong editorial skills and a deep understanding of marketing performance metrics.

What You’ll Do Commercial Email Campaign Management
  • Construct, edit, test, and deploy commercial email campaigns - ensuring accuracy, brand consistency and thoroughness of marketing campaign objectives,
  • Manage the planning, production, and execution of all commercial email campaigns, including launch program sequences, ‘offseason’ program initiatives, and other production-based emails while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with company brand standards.
  • Coordinate with the Creative team on asset planning, insertion, and approval processes for all email related creative items,
  • Conduct quality assurance reviews for accessibility, compliance, and copyright standards.
  • Measure and report on email metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, general engagement and content insights,
  • Provide analytical insights and feedback on all facets of email production, execution and delivery to the Next Level Marketing team.
Program Operations & Development Communications
  • Coordinate the creation, deployment, and performance reporting of all program operations emails, including schedule notifications and post-season wrap-up emails and site-wide survey communications.
  • Collaborate with Program Operations and Development teams on survey creation, deployment, and data tracking.
  • Ensure alignment with broader marketing and communication objectives.
  • Provide content review and alignment on operational-based emails for each of the Next Level Sports programming verticals, assisting the general marketing and brand-alignment efforts within the organization.
  • Maintain and update email contact databases across Constant Contact, Customer.io, and similar email deployment platforms, both internal and external,
  • Assist in developing and executing audience segmentation strategies to improve message relevance, and engagement.
Analytics & Optimization
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators, including open rates, click-through rates, conversion rates, and unsubscribe trends for both commercial emails as well as operational-based emails,
  • Conduct A/B testing and provide insights to enhance campaign effectiveness,
  • Provide recommendations on efficiency of production, deployment and other aspects of email campaigns to marketing and creative leadership,
  • Prepare and deliver regular performance reports to marketing leadership on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
Content & Editorial Oversight
  • Review and edit email copy for clarity, accuracy, and brand consistency for marketing specific emails and across all outbound company communications.
