Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This travel opportunity is for a School Psychologist specialized in PreK assessments, based in San Mateo, CA. The assignment is set at a unique early childhood development center, requiring a professional skilled in conducting assessments for young children transitioning to preschool.
Position Details:
- Location:
Turnbull Child Development Center, San Mateo, CA (travel assignment) - Duration: ASAP start with an estimated end date of June 12
- Hours:
32.5 hours per week - Daily
Schedule:
8:00 AM to 3:15 PM - Role Focus:
Strictly PreK assessments, collaborating closely with the PreK team on intakes for children turning three years old
Qualifications and
Experience:
- Expertise in conducting psychological assessments for early childhood populations, specifically PreK-aged children
- Proficiency with the Pattern of Strengths and Weaknesses (PSW) model for assessment
- Familiarity with SEIS or similar special education information systems is preferred
- Ability to navigate a specialized onboarding process due to state regulations related to this site
- Strong skills in individualized assessment and working within a collaborative team environment
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive PreK assessments to determine student needs for early intervention and special education services
- Work alongside the PreK team to assist in intake processes for new students
- Adhere to the specific operational and legal protocols of the child development center
- Document findings accurately and maintain compliance with all relevant assessment policies
