Chinese Teacher

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with children (ages 3 to 36 months) in either Nido or Infant Community.
• Follow the Montessori philosophy.
• Lead parent‑teacher conferences.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers in the classroom.
• Willing to work in an environment that uses four different languages (Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, and English).
• Communicate with administration about classroom duties and progress.

• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Physically able to work in an environment with low shelves and tables.
• Needs to be able to kneel, sit on the floor, sit in low chairs, etc.
• Must be able to work with multiple staff and children, under moderate stress levels.

• Associate or Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education (equivalent training/experience considered).
• At least 6 ECE units and continuing in courses.
• AMI Assistants to Infancy certification (AMS certifications also considered).
• Deep understanding of Montessori education.
• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (must know Traditional Characters).
• Enthusiastic about working in an international school setting and collaborating with young children.
• First Aid certified is a plus.
• Ability to work and communicate with colleagues.
• Basic computer skills or willingness to learn.
• Attention to detail, organization skills, and problem‑solving skills are desired.
