Emergency Substitute Teacher
Provides classroom instruction and supervision in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Follows lesson plans, maintains a positive and productive learning environment, and supports student learning and safety.
Requirements / QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Emergency 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit OR Valid CA Teaching Credential DESIRABLE
QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior substitute teaching experience preferred, but not required. Ability to effectively communicate with and supervise high school students. Ability to follow lesson plans and work independently Commitment to maintaining a professional and supportive learning environment
Copy of Credential. Letter of Introduction, Resume, and two Letters of Recommendation. Attach to EDJOIN application.
Comments and Other InformationEssential Duties:
Deliver instruction and activities according to the teacher's lesson plans. Supervise and manage students in accordance with school and district policies. Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment. Take attendance and provide appropriate classroom documentation. Communicate relevant information to the regular teacher and school staff. Follow all district procedures, including those related to student safety, confidentiality, and technology use.
