Position Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative 4th Grade Teacher to join our elementary faculty. The teacher is responsible for creating an engaging, academically rigorous, and faith-filled classroom environment that supports the intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual development of each student.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Commitment to supporting and embracing the Catholic mission, values, and traditions of St. Matthew Catholic School
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for teamwork, collaboration, and collective efficacy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to establish a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Valid California teaching credential, equivalent out-of-state credential, or currently working toward a California teaching credential
  • Previous elementary classroom teaching experience
  • Experience teaching in a Catholic or independent school
  • Master's degree or other advanced education
  • Experience integrating instructional technology, including various devices, document camera, Google, Smart Board and other classroom learning technologies
Responsibilities
  • Support Saint Matthew Catholic School's mission, philosophy, and SLEs
  • Prepare, deliver, and assess (engaging and interactive) lessons/units based on Archdiocesan Curriculum Guidelines
  • Document student learning and report (communicate) regularly to administration and parents
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues, students, and parents
  • Supervise students inside and outside of the classroom, maintaining good rapport with students and effective classroom management.
  • Perform all other duties outlined in our Faculty Handbook or assigned by the Deans.

Compensation:
Compensation follows the Archdiocese of San Francisco  Instructional Staff Salary Schedule, with placement based on credentials and applicable years of teaching experience.

Anticipated Salary Range: $62,194 - $119,743 annually, depending on credentials and applicable teaching experience.

In addition to salary, eligible employees receive a comprehensive Archdiocesan benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance; an employer-funded pension plan; employer-paid life insurance; long-term disability coverage; an optional 403(b) retirement savings plan; flexible spending accounts; paid sick leave; and school holidays and breaks.

The estimated total value of compensation, including salary and employer-paid benefits, ranges from approximately $75,000-$159,000+ annually, depending on salary placement and selected health plan.
