Enterprise Storage Sales Engineer

This person will be based in the San Francisco‑Bay Area responsible for quarterly sales targets by selling into enterprise, service provider, and SLED accounts in the Mid‑West and East Coast. Requires frequent travel.

Sales Compensation – On target earnings considerably higher than at similar roles in High Tech.

Equity Ownership – Virtunet Systems is a 100% employee owned company, with zero debt, zero outside funding, and profitable. As a result, we have a larger pool of stock reserved for employees than VC backed companies. Stock ownership for this role is two orders of magnitude higher than with similar VC backed companies.

Field Engineer responsible for Pre‑Sales Support.

This person will, foremost, build credibility with a prospect with his/her commanding knowledge in the fields of Linux, VMware, Data Center Networking and Storage; and secondly provide in‑depth feedback to Virtunet product engineering regarding product issues encountered in the field.

Linux Kernel Programmer with Expertise in Storage and Networking.

We are looking for an engineer to contribute to our Linux and VMware software in the areas of clustering, fault tolerance, storage and networking drivers. There are many issues around mirroring, clustering, caching, de‑dupe, compression, etc that need to be figured out. We are looking for someone with experience and confidence of working through these issues with rest of the team.

Driver level work on Linux kernel is required.

Excellent knowledge of data structures, kernel internals and programming concepts.

CS engg. graduate from a good college, preferably IITs.
