Hybrid, Bay Area (San Mateo, CA 3x/week)

Key Responsibilities

Manage 2-3 engineering squads of 3-7 engineers each distributed between HQ (San Mateo, CA) and our hub in Pakistan (Full Stack + Front-End teams)

Build a culture of high performance, collaboration, and ownership across distributed teams
Guide and mentor tech leads and engineers, fostering career growth and development
Drive squad delivery at high velocity with uncompromising quality
Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders in Product and Design to define roadmaps and prioritize initiatives
Make strategic technical decisions to scale systems and improve performance
Ensure seamless execution in the face of challenges unique to distributed teams, including time zones and communication

Qualifications

At least 5 years in a software engineering management role
Proven experience managing globally distributed engineering teams
Strong leadership skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams
Ability to facilitate communication and collaboration across diverse cultural and geographic backgrounds
Deep understanding of technical architecture and system design
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic trade-offs
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
