About the Role

As a Tax Senior/Tax Lead at Verkada, you will be a critical member of our Finance team, taking ownership of both direct and indirect tax functions. You will bridge the gap between complex hardware supply chains and global cloud-software revenue, ensuring compliance while driving tax optimization strategies as we scale toward an IPO. This high-impact role requires a bias toward action and technical grit to manage everything from daily indirect tax matters to complex US and international income tax provisions.

The role reports directly to the Director, Tax & Treasury.

• Experience: 3-5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) or a high-growth startup environment.
• Education: BS in Accounting or Finance required; CPA or MST preferred.

  Expertise in ASC 740 and income tax. US multi-state taxation and international VAT/GST are a plus.
• Attention to detail and strategic instincts: You are meticulous in ensuring accuracy, with the ability to prioritize and identify what is critical versus secondary.

• Onsite requirement: Must be willing and able to work onsite five days per week in San Mateo, California.

Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).
