Primary Account Abilities / Responsibilities:

• Opens and closes consumer deposit accounts and related products, including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and safe deposit boxes
• Prepares and processes new account documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements
• Reviews prior-day new account activity for accuracy and resolves exceptions in a timely manner
• Assists customers with account maintenance, questions, and basic banking inquiries
• Supports customer onboarding by preparing new account starter kits and explaining account features and services
• Responds to online and electronic banking questions from customers
• Assists branch operations by supporting the teller line as needed, including transaction approvals and overrides within assigned authority
• Adheres to teller and new account policies, including check cashing guidelines and levels of authority
• Helps ensure new account and teller areas are properly stocked with forms and supplies
• Maintains a strong working knowledge of bank products, services, and digital banking options
• Demonstrates a consistently helpful, professional, and customer-focused attitude
• Identifies opportunities to introduce customers to additional bank products and services when appropriate
• Maintains neat and orderly work areas and ensures all confidential and negotiable records are properly secured
• Represents the bank professionally with customers and within the community
