THE POSITION:
We are seeking a (temporary) Sample Management Associate to support research through the processing and management of plasma/blood samples, along with freezer inventory tracking and general lab upkeep. This is a repetitive, process-oriented role that plays a vital part in maintaining the integrity, traceability, and organization of biological specimens.
Ideal candidates will be highly detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in following SOPs within a lab environment. Experience with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) is required.
This is a 40 hrs/week contract role expected to last 3–6 months, with the potential to extend. The position is onsite in San Mateo, CA.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree (or actively pursuing one) in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field
- Experience with LIMS and digital sample tracking
- Prior lab experience with sample accessioning/handling
- Comfortable with repetitive tasks and structured workflows
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Willingness to support freezer inventory and routine lab maintenance tasks
