We are seeking a mid-level AI Engineer with 5+ years of professional software engineering experience (after graduation from last school/college), including 1–3 years of hands-on AI/ML experience
, to help build and operate the AI products that power our Loan Origination System (LOS).

This role is ideal for a strong engineer who has transitioned into AI and is now applying machine learning and LLM technologies in real production environments. You will help deliver production-ready, auditable, and high-performance AI pipelines, supporting our continued growth as a SaaS business and strengthening internal processes, performance, and cross-team alignment.

• Build and maintain production-grade AI pipelines for document ingestion, OCR, and entity extraction.
• Use LLMs and retrieval-augmented techniques for accurate data classification, and apply rules and graph-based models to represent relationships between borrowers, entities, and assets
• Work with team to implement agentic in-app experience that enable users to interrogate, explore, and act on data insights
• Implement observability and feedback loops to monitor model performance, implement human-in-the-loop validation, and continuously improve accuracy over time.

• 5+ years of experience (after graduation from last school/college)
• 1–3 years of professional experience building production-grade AI systems using large language models, agentic frameworks (e.g., Lang Chain, Pydantic
  
  AI), and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines
• Strong proficiency in Python and applied ML frameworks such as Py Torch and Hugging Face
• Experience building APIs and data pipelines with a strong foundation in system design, testing, CI/CD, and cloud deployment
• Experience with prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and evaluation methods for improving real-world model performance

• Experience with knowledge graphs, recommendation engines, or rules engines
• Familiarity with AI observability and monitoring tools
• Good understanding of data pipelines, and model evaluation in real-world decisioning systems
• Collaborate with backend engineers to deploy AI models as low-latency, highly available microservices in the system.

The pay range for this role is: 150, USD per year(Hybrid (San Mateo, California, US))
