Join us in revolutionizing healthcare for rural America! We’re looking for a Data Engineer to help shape and build the infrastructure that powers analytics, data science, clinical tools, and care delivery. You’ll work cross-functionally to ensure data is trustworthy, well-organized, and ready to support both daily operations and long-term insights.

• Work with data science, product, engineering, operations, and clinical teams to define requirements for Homeward’s data infrastructure
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure a uniform and consistent taxonomy and data collection practices that yield high quality analytics and insights for now and the future
• Design and build infrastructure to ingest, store, and report on members’ health data, such as claims data, lab results, medications, clinical data and more
• Design and implement workflows for ingestion and transformation for various data sources
• Work with a modern data engineering stack - some pieces of ours include Airbyte, Snowflake, and Metabase.

• 7+ years of hands‑on development experience
• Strong experience with ETL/ELT tools, data modeling, and modern cloud-based data warehouses (Snowflake, dbt)
• Proficiency with SQL and Python for building and maintaining robust data workflows.
• Experience working with structured and semi‑structured data from various sources, including APIs and file‑based systems.
• Implemented infrastructure in AWS

• Experience in regulated domains (HIPPA, PHI), or in healthcare systems.
• Background in building scalable data infrastructure in early‑stage or startup environments
• Experience with GenAI tooling
