Client Services Engineer
LOCATION:
Foster City, CA (Hybrid; 4 days in office/week)
PAY RANGE: $36 - $46/hr.
DURATION: 6 Months
TOP 3 SKILLS:
- Minimum 3 years providing end-user support across Windows, macOS, Ubuntu, and Chrome OS environments, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and office systems.
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (VPN, DHCP, DNS), Active Directory administration, endpoint management (Intune, Jamf, ECM), and experience with ticketing/documentation tools like Service Now, Jira, or Confluence.
- 1 2 years of scripting experience (Power Shell, Bash, Python) with the ability to implement and troubleshoot internal systems, SaaS platforms, and client-side virtualized environments (VMware, Parallels, Virtual Box).
As a member of the Client Services team, a Client Service Engineer will be responsible for employee-facing technical services. You will work closely with the business and other IT teams to troubleshoot issues, increase efficiency, and improve user experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for all end-user technology services via Service Now and Slack.
- Research, install/implement, and upgrade internal systems and Saas platforms.
- Support conference room systems, printers, digital signage, and other office equipment.
- Work cross-collaboratively on client-side projects to improve security, increase efficiency, or improve user experience.
- Create and maintain documentation for internal team processes and user-facing support articles.
- 3 years of experience in a similar IT Support / Admin role.
- Experience with Windows 10, Ubuntu, Chrome OS, and macOS in an enterprise environment.
- Familiarity with VMware and client-level virtualization software (Parallels, Virtual Box, etc.)
- Experience with Google Workspace administration and troubleshooting.
- Solid understanding of basic networking concepts (VPN, DHCP, DNS, etc.)
- Strong security foundation and endpoint or user best practices.
- Experience with Service Now, Jira, Confluence, or similar ticketing and documentation tools.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory account administration.
- Experience configuring and/or troubleshooting Single-Sign on (Azure, Okta, Ping, etc.)
- Solid understanding of endpoint management tools (ECM/Intune, Jamf, Landscape, etc.)
- 1-2 years of scripting experience preferred (Power Shell, bash, Python, etc.)
- Exceptional verbal and written communication.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
