Technical Project Manager

Foster City, CA | 3 days in office

Contract Role

Client: ZOOX

Key Responsibilities:

Lead end-to-end delivery of Salesforce projects, from requirements gathering and planning to deployment and post-go-live support.

Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, and risks to ensure successful outcomes.

Partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to define and deliver project objectives.

Develop detailed project plans, track progress, and report status updates to leadership and executive stakeholders.

Ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices, governance, and security/compliance standards.

Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between business, development, QA, and change management teams.

Drive user adoption, change management, and training initiatives to ensure business value realization.

Manage third-party implementation partners and monitor deliverables against contractual commitments.

Proactively identify project risks/issues and implement mitigation/resolution strategies.

Serve as a subject matter expert on Salesforce platform capabilities, limitations, and roadmap alignment.

Required Qualifications &

Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

10+ years of overall IT/project management experience with at least 5+ years in Salesforce project delivery.

Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale Salesforce implementations (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, etc.).

Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches).

Experience with project management tools (Jira, Asana, MS Project, or equivalent).

Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Strong vendor management and contract oversight experience.

Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Platform App Builder, or Salesforce Project Management-related certifications (PMP, CSM, SAFe) preferred.

Preferred

Skills:

Deep understanding of Salesforce ecosystem and its integration with third-party applications.

Experience working in industries such as Financial Services, Healthcare, or Retail (depending on employer needs).

Familiarity with Dev Ops tools (Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT) for Salesforce release management.

Knowledge of data migration strategies, API integrations, and middleware (Mule Soft, Dell Boomi, Informatica).

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Change management and organizational adoption expertise (e.g., Prosci certification a plus).

Ability to coach, mentor, and lead cross-functional project teams.
