As the founding Product Marketing Manager for Privacy and Data Security, you will play a central role in advancing Verkada’s core mission to protect people and places in a privacy-sensitive way by defining and driving our global privacy and data security narrative. These elements are never afterthoughts at Verkada; they are foundational to how we design our technology and a core differentiator that enables us to earn the trust of – and successfully sell to – some of the world’s largest organizations.

In this role, you will lead the charge in proactively establishing Verkada as the undisputed leader in how a cloud-first physical security company should approach privacy and data security. You will go incredibly deep into the weeds of our technical architecture, becoming a subject matter expert who can be strategically deployed to create customer-facing collateral, go toe-to-toe with technical experts and executive buyers, and evangelize our privacy and security posture across the entire go-to-market engine.

This role is deeply cross-functional and requires you to bring together stakeholders across the Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Communications teams. You will also partner closely with Verkada’s Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Chief Privacy Officer. This role will report into our Director of Product Marketing.

We are open to hiring at the Manager or Senior Manager level, depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

We are committed to a thriving in-office culture. This role requires that you be on-site at our HQ in San Mateo, CA 5 days a week.

• Hone Verkada’s privacy and security narrative: Clearly articulate how Verkada differentiates itself, our fundamental approach to data protection, and how these practices deliver value to our customers. Refine and adapt our messaging and positioning strategies in response to product developments, competitor movements, and public sentiment.
• Drive proactive privacy thought leadership and asset creation: Author, advise on, and elevate high-impact collateral – including technical whitepapers, one-pagers, blogs, videos, and sales decks – to position Verkada as the definitive authority in the space. Take complete ownership of the Verkada Trust Hub webpage, significantly expanding its depth to turn it into a comprehensive, best-in-class destination for public transparency.
