Demler, Armstrong & Rowland LLP, a boutique 40+ year trial firm, is seeking an associate for a hybrid position in its Northern and Southern California offices to work primarily with its thriving and dynamic Litigation Practice groups. These groups represent a variety of clients, including Fortune 500 companies, in high stakes litigation.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated associate attorney with relevant experience in civil defense litigation to join our firm. The ideal candidate is an excellent writer, a strong communicator, and has a desire for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research
- Draft and review pleadings, memos, briefs, and motions
- Conduct written discovery, facilitate document productions
- Participate in litigation, including depositions, mediations, and arbitrations, under the guidance of experienced mentors
- Communicate clearly both orally and in writing
- Collaborate with colleagues and case managers to ensure clients receive excellent service
Qualifications
- Active California State Bar membership in good standing
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-service-driven law firm setting
- Strong writing, drafting, and strong attention to detail
- Ability to balance independent responsibility with teamwork and collaboration
- Desire for professional growth.
