Our client, a world leader in biotechnology and gene therapy, is looking for an Associate Director – Commercial Services based out of Foster City, CA (Hybrid). Job Duration:
Long Term Contract (Possibility Of Extension) Pay Rate: $100/hr - $107/hr on W2 DOE Company Benefits:

We are seeking an experienced Associate Director – Commercial Services to develop and execute category strategies that optimize cost, quality, service, and supplier performance across Commercial procurement categories. This role will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to lead sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships, analyze spend, negotiate contracts, and drive procurement best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute category strategies to deliver cost savings, supplier consolidation, and process standardization.
- Analyze spend data, supplier performance, and market trends to identify sourcing opportunities.
- Lead strategic sourcing activities, including RFPs, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract management.
- Partner with business stakeholders and Procurement Business Partners to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships, performance metrics, and supplier segmentation.
- Drive procurement best practices, continuous improvement, and responsible procurement initiatives.
- Develop annual spend forecasts, savings targets, and sourcing project plans.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in Strategic Sourcing, Procurement, or Category Management.
- Strong experience in category strategy, contract negotiation, supplier management, and spend analysis.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional sourcing projects and influence stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, project management, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with procurement analytics, supplier relationship management (SRM), and sourcing tools.
- Knowledge of change management, procurement best practices, and supplier diversity initiatives.
- Experience working in a global, matrixed organization.
