The Branch Manager SAFE Act is a senior management professional responsible for providing full leadership and direction to a team of employees, growing sales and expanding the client base in coordination with the consumer sales team. The overall objective of this role is to lead a team to grow sales, build customer loyalty, recommend the development of business strategies or initiatives, and may include the management of activities by external organizations, as well as the direct management of individuals and sales teams.
Responsibilities- Develop sales plans and drive individual production goals, including building referral networks and relationships with internal partners and external contacts.
- Create an environment through activity-based coaching and performance development and implement coaching plans to develop employees’ skill sets to achieve personal/branch goals.
- Develop and execute integrated sales, relationship, and credit strategies that align with the Retail Bank's priorities, and execute the business plan to achieve expected goals in all business categories.
- Support portfolio growth by identifying opportunities to deepen relationships and increase client acquisition, ensuring clients receive optimal service and monitoring/adhere to operational controls.
- Collaborate with branch partners to successfully achieve goals, build customer relationships, and deliver customer service.
- Leverage workforce planning tools to optimize staffing in branches and set expectations for branch staff, fostering an environment where team members work together to achieve all business goals.
- Integrate segment partners, partner with the Assistant Manager, and partner with the Division Operational to drive sales and outbound sales activities, including representing Citi and building partnerships in the community.
- Conduct daily proof processes to ensure adherence to operational requirements; investigate controllable losses among branch staff; provide coaching and manage performance decisions.
- Lead the hiring process and coordinate performance management, compensation, communication, and employee evaluation of branch staff.
- Plan, budget, and formulate policies, and be involved in short-term resource planning.
- Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency. Effectively supervise activities of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
- 6-10 years of relevant experience required.
- Previous experience in banking or financial industry preferred.
- Sales management experience preferred.
- Registered or willing to register as a mortgage loan originator with Nationwide Mortgage Licensing.
- Obtain or willing to obtain unique identifier from Registry.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Consistently demonstrates analytic skills.
- Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.
