Director Facility Services

Overview

The Peninsula Regent is a premier not-for-profit Life Plan Community located in San Mateo, California, offering exceptional services, beautiful surroundings, and a welcoming environment for residents and team members alike. We are seeking an experienced Facility Services Director to lead facility operations, maintenance, environmental services, and grounds management while ensuring an exceptional living experience for residents.

• Lead, develop, and mentor Facility Services team members while overseeing hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Direct maintenance, environmental services, grounds operations, contracted services, and capital improvement projects across the community.
• Manage departmental budgets, purchasing, inventory control, and financial performance while driving operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety standards, inspections, audits, and emergency preparedness programs.
• Partner with residents, community leadership, and stakeholders to enhance facilities, improve services, and support a positive resident experience.

Pay: $162,500 - $175,000 / annually DOE

• 10+ years of facility services, building operations, or related experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Facility Services, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; CFM or BOM certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, regulatory compliance, fire and life safety, and facility management best practices.
• Proven experience managing budgets, projects, vendors, and high-performing teams in a customer-focused environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CMMS software.
