Position: Sales Operation/ Sales Assistant

Summary

This position is with an IT company headquartered in Japan. The company operates a software business targeting North America and Europe. The overseas team is small and works closely with the Japan headquarters.
We are seeking a Japanese–English bilingual Sales Operations / Sales Assistant to support a growing sales team. The role focuses primarily on order processing and sales administration, ensuring smooth coordination and management of internal processes to support sales activities.

■ Work Arrangement
  • Employment Type:

    Part-time (directly employed by the company)

  • Working Hours:

    Approximately 10 hours per week (average of about 2 hours per day / flexible, with potential to increase in the future)

  • Location:

    Fully remote

  • Working Hours:

    Expected to work during U.S. PST hours

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing and responding to quotations based on requests from the North American and European sales teams

  • Placing orders with Japan headquarter

  • Receiving and managing licenses

  • Sending reminders and following up with the sales team regarding license renewals

  • Proposing improvements to operational processes (when applicable)

  • Providing general administrative support related to sales activities

  • Communication will be primarily in English with internal team members.

  • Direct customer interaction is generally not required, but there may be occasions where contact with enterprise customers is necessary.

Required Qualifications
  • Japanese:
    Business-level proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking)

  • English:
    Proficiency sufficient for smooth internal communication

  • Experience in order processing, sales administration, sales operations, or related roles (partial experience acceptable)

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling documents and data

  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a remote environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a startup or small team environment

  • A proactive mindset toward process improvement and operational efficiency

  • Availability for long-term engagement with a flexible schedule
