Decking Sales Pro — In-Home Consultations

Join our team as a Decking Sales Representative at GVD Renovations & Remodeling. Sell high-quality decking products, transform outdoor spaces, and achieve remarkable results.

Responsibilities:

• Meet with residential customers to understand their decking needs and preferences
• Present and promote decking and railing products and installation services
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
• Provide accurate quotes and estimates for decking projects
• Draw basic deck designs to help customers visualize their projects
• Close sales and achieve or exceed sales targets
• Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
• Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge to effectively educate customers

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in outside sales, specifically with decking products
• Experience with deck design is preferred
• Ability to draw basic deck designs
• Understanding of construction codes related to decking
• In-home sales experience is a must
• Must have worked as an in-home sales consultant for an exterior renovation company in the past
• Proven experience in deck sales or deck building
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong negotiation and closing skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Knowledge of decking products from Dura Life, Deckorators, Dek Pro, Fiberon, and Barrette Outdoor Living is highly desirable
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Education Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience Requirements: Minimum of 2 years in outside sales, preferably in decking products
