Development Associate II / Associate Scientist – Downstream Process
About the Role:
Join our Biologics Pilot Lab to support development, scale-up, and pilot-scale production of biologic programs. Execute downstream purification operations, support upstream activities, and help advance biologics pipeline programs in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Execute downstream purification and scale-up activities (filtration, chromatography, buffer prep).
- Support upstream operations for seamless process execution.
- Monitor, analyze, and summarize process data.
- Maintain lab readiness: equipment, instruments, inventory, and general support.
- Present data and findings in team and cross-functional meetings.
- Proficiency with AKTA systems and UNICORN programming.
- Experience with chromatography column operations (resin packing/unpacking).
- Strong communication, documentation, and collaborative skills.
- Self-motivated and organized with problem‑solving skills.
- Pilot plant biologics experience in a single‑use facility.
- Knowledge of Process Development, cGMP, technology transfer, plant operations, and bioprocess scale‑up.
- AA/AS with 2+ years relevant experience OR BS/BE in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology, or related field with 1+ year experience.
