Maintenance Supervisor

Summary Of Position

Manage and lead a team responsible for performing general maintenance duties throughout the Shopping Center—both interior and exterior—on a daily basis. Ensure the property remains safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing at all times.

• Prioritize and assign daily tasks and projects to maintenance team to ensure requests and workload are completed in a timely manner.
• Create, delegate and track work orders for projects and repairs identified during regular property walks. Regular property walks should be completed no less than three times per week.
• Work closely with Marketing department in planning and assisting in holiday décor set ups throughout the Shopping Center.
• Keys for Shopping Center; responsible for rekeying, having copies made as requested and issued to appropriate personnel. Responsible for maintaining log of keys distributed and what keys go to which door.
• Maintain schedule for Maintenance Department to ensure coverage at all times and all department employees’ timeliness.
• Work closely with Management to complete maintenance tasks around the Shopping Center.

• General painting, graffiti removal and basic patch work so that the Center always looks clean.
• Basic construction work as needed throughout the interior and exterior of Shopping Center.
• Pressure washing sidewalks and other areas on a regular basis.
• Asphalt repair and small concrete projects as needed.
• Install, repair and maintain a wide range of restroom equipment including soap dispensers, towel dispensers, vending machines, etc.
• Emergency/temporary tile repair throughout the Shopping Center.
• Clearing drains around property as needed.
• Assisting in locating roof leaks as needed.
• Assist Marketing Department with set up of holiday decorations throughout the year and other special projects.
• Daily general cleanup to ensure site remains spotless and free of debris.
• Daily landscape detail as requested by Shopping Center Management.
• Other maintenance duties may be assigned as required by the maintenance department.

• 5+ years experience with hands on building maintenance.
• 5+ years experience supervising and directing a staff.
• Ability to safely use a variety of powered and non-powered tools.
• Ability to safely use a variety of maintenance equipment.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Ability to acquire certification to operate forklift, boom lift and scissor lift.
• Ability to lift heavy items up to 60lbs +, i.e. long ladders, manhole covers, etc.
• Ability to walk 5+ miles per day.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Job requires working in inclement weather.
• Must be able to perform all duties with an acute awareness of the safety of other’s moving about in the proximity of employee’s work area.
• Ability to work well with people and provide excellent customer service.
