School Community Worker
The San Mateo-Foster City School District is seeking a School Community Worker. 29 hours/week:
Monday: 12pm - 4pm Tuesday: 8am to 12pm and 12:30pm to 3:30pm Wednesday: 10am to 2pm Thursday: 8am to 12pm and 12:30pm to 3:30pm Friday: 8am to 12pm and 12:30pm to 3:30pm Definition for School Community Worker:
Under general supervision, to identify at-risk students with attendance, illness, emotional/social, needs and problems; to develop working relationships with students, parents, community groups and social service agencies, to assist in resolving attendance and other problems that interfere with school success; to discuss school programs, attendance requirement, behavior problems, and available services with parents; and to perform related work as required.
