As an Engineering Manager, you will be a technical leader responsible for guiding the Application Platform team to deliver next‑generation solutions. This is a high‑impact role where your expertise will shape the future of Guidewire’s platform, accelerate AI and cloud adoption, and ensure our products meet the evolving needs of global insurers. • Demonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your current role as well as data‑driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated Java mastery and strong object‑oriented design skills.
• Proven experience architecting cloud applications, preferably cloud‑native, on modern cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Demonstrated experience working with AI systems, including integrating AI/ML or GenAI capabilities into production software or platforms.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams in cloud platform or enterprise software environments.
• Strong technical background in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and platform security.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to drive operational excellence and deliver measurable outcomes in a fast‑paced environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience with AI/ML integration, cloud‑native architectures, and large‑scale platform operations.
• Familiarity with the insurance or financial services industry is a plus.

In your first six months, you’ll lead the Application Platform team to deliver key platform enhancements, drive the integration of GenAI features, and improve operational metrics such as reliability and compliance. Your leadership will directly support Guidewire’s mission to deliver secure, innovative, and customer‑centric solutions, ensuring our platform remains the trusted choice for global insurers.
