The Role We're looking for a Technical Manager who thrives at the intersection of technical depth, architectural thinking, and people leadership. Someone who can build strong engineering teams, guide complex technical decisions, and deliver scalable, enterprise-grade, AI-driven products with speed and  this role, you'll lead engineers across disciplines, own system architecture, partner with product leaders, and play a key role in shaping Talview's next-generation hiring and assessment platform.

This role is ideal for someone who loves coding as much as coaching, and strategy as much as hands-on problem solving.

What You'll Actually DoLead engineering teams → Mentor frontend, backend, and QA engineers to build reliable, high-impact product features

Own & evolve architecture → Ensure performance, scalability, security, and robustness across systems

Drive product outcomes → Collaborate with Product, Design, and cross-functional leadership to turn business needs into technical roadmaps

Champion engineering excellence → Establish high standards for code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and documentation

Deliver with predictability → Manage sprints, allocate resources efficiently, remove blockers, and ensure timely delivery

Grow people → Conduct 1:1s, give constructive feedback, set goals, and coach engineers through career advancement

Stay ahead of technology → Evaluate emerging tools, frameworks, and AI/ML capabilities; lead adoption where beneficial

Shape engineering culture → Foster ownership, innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement You Might Be a Fit If...You have:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent8+ years of experience in software development, with 2+ years in engineering leadership

Strong full-stack experience (JavaScript/Type Script, React, Node.js / Java / Python, REST/Graph

QL APIs)
Hands-on expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCPDeep understanding of microservices, system design, distributed systems, and SQL/No

SQL databases

A history of leading teams to deliver complex, high-quality software at scale

Excellent communication skills with the ability to balance technical depth and empathetic leadership

Strong decision-making skills with a bias for clarity, quality, and impact

Bonus points for:

Experience building SaaS products at scale

Knowledge of AI/ML concepts and their practical application

Leadership experience in fast-paced, high-growth product companies

Prior experience mentoring engineers into senior or lead roles

Contributions to engineering communities, open-source, or technical forums

Hands-on experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor, Windsurf, Codex, or similar for improving developer productivity
