IXL Learning, a leading global EdTech company, is seeking Software Engineers to develop new features and build innovative products. This role focuses on building and enhancing our educational products that impact millions of users worldwide.
Location:
San Mateo, CA (headquarters office)
- Collaborate with a team of engineers on both new projects and existing codebases.
- Design, implement, and maintain back‑end logic, application wiring, and UI components.
- Lead the development process, including design, coding, documentation, testing, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Provide accurate estimates, evaluate feasibility, and assess new technologies for project implementation.
- Communicate clearly across multiple development teams to design and release high‑quality products.
- 3+ years of software engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong programming skills in Java or another object‑oriented language.
- Excellent communication abilities.
- Passion for improving education through technology.
Base salary range: $116,000 to $150,000 + equity + benefits.
