EmbodyX is a Silicon Valley startup developing next-generation Physical AI and robotics software to address the global labor shortage through intelligent automation. Our team includes experts from leading technology companies such as Google and Snap, as well as renowned robotics research labs including Northeastern University, Carnegie Mellon University, and MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab.
We are looking for a Robotics Engineer to join our engineering team full‑time. In this role, you will work on the development, evaluation, and deployment of state‑of‑the‑art robot foundation models and embodied AI systems. You will collaborate closely with researchers and engineers to build scalable learning pipelines and deploy advanced AI models on real robotic platforms.
Responsibilities- Develop, optimize, and deploy robotic manipulation pipelines using commercial robotic platforms (e.g., Interbotix, WidowX, Kinova, Unitree, ABB).
- Implement, train, and evaluate state‑of‑the‑art imitation learning, reinforcement learning, and Vision‑Language‑Action (VLA) models, including ACT, OpenVLA, π0, Lingbo‑VA, and emerging foundation models.
- Build and extend simulation environments using Isaac Lab, Isaac Sim and related simulators for scalable data generation and sim‑to‑real transfer.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to deploy robotic AI solutions in industrial environments such as warehouses and manufacturing facilities.
- Analyze deployment results, identify failure modes, and continuously improve system robustness and performance.
- Bachelor, Master or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent industry research experience).
- Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
- Experience with robotics software frameworks such as ROS/ROS
2. - Experience with simulation platforms including Isaac Lab, Isaac Sim, or similar.
- Strong experience with PyTorch and modern deep learning workflows.
- Familiarity with reinforcement learning, imitation learning, diffusion policies, or Vision‑Language‑Action models.
- Experience working in Linux environments and GPU computing.
- Strong research skills with the ability to read, implement, and improve upon recent academic publications.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and vibe‑coding skills.
