AI ML Engineer; Principal leveling

A leading software company is expanding its Artificial Intelligence organization to build the next generation of AI powered data engineering and analytics solutions. The engineering team develops production AI systems that help enterprise organizations prepare, transform, and analyze data at scale.

The AI organization develops customer facing products focused on AI agents, retrieval systems, and large language model applications. Engineers joining the team will have the opportunity to influence architecture, lead major technical initiatives, and help shape the future of enterprise AI.

The Staff or Principal AI ML Engineer will design and build production AI systems that power intelligent data transformation and analytics for enterprise customers. Success in this role requires strong software engineering fundamentals, deep experience with modern AI technologies, and the ability to lead complex technical initiatives from design through production.

• Design and develop production AI agents
• Build retrieval augmented generation and semantic retrieval systems
• Develop vector database and knowledge graph solutions
• Create AI powered code generation capabilities
• Improve model quality, evaluation frameworks, and system performance
  
  Deploy scalable AI applications using cloud infrastructure
• Partner with engineering leadership on architecture and technical strategy
• Lead complex technical initiatives from concept through production

• Production experience building AI or machine learning applications
• Experience with retrieval augmented generation
• Experience with vector databases and knowledge graphs
• Experience deploying applications on AWS and Kubernetes
• Strong software engineering and system design skills
• Experience owning technical projects from design through production

• Scala, Go, or Java
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, or Big Query
• Experience building customer facing AI products at scale

• Build AI products used by enterprise customers

$250,000 to $350,000
