Overview
Foreign Language Department at Contra Costa Community College seeks a part-time Adjunct Faculty instructor to teach Japanese courses. Assignment temporary, beginning January 2027, for five months.
Duties and Responsibilities- Master’s in Japanese, or Bachelor’s in Japanese plus Master’s in another language or Linguistics, or an equivalent.
- Experience teaching transfer‑level first and second semester Japanese courses in face‑to‑face, online synchronous/asynchronous, or hybrid modalities.
- Skill in engaging and inclusive education, culturally responsive curriculum.
- Understanding of diverse student backgrounds.

Qualifications:
Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, passion for teaching, effective communication with students.
- Salary $77.87–$128.97 per hour (up to $151.16).
- Membership in State Teachers Retirement System (STRS).
