The Miller Creek Elementary School District is located in beautiful Marin County, California, and proudly serves the San Rafael communities of Terra Linda, Marinwood, and Lucas Valley. The District includes three TK-5 elementary schools and one 6-8 middle school, providing a high-quality public education to approximately 1,800 students in a supportive and engaging learning environment.

REGISTRATION AS A SUBSTITUTE TEACHER WITH THE MARIN COUNTY OFFICE OF EDUCATION (MCOE) IS REQUIRED BEFORE APPLYING. The District will not accept substitutes that are not actively registered with MCOE. This process involves:
• Live Scan Fingerprinting
• TB Test
• Mandated Reporter Trainings
• A Valid Teaching Credential or Sub Permit Once active status with MCOE is verified and an application has been submitted with MCSD, the applicant's work history will verified per AB 2534. When all requirements are completed, you will be notified and added to the District's Master Sub List and Frontline system. Upon securing your first substitute position within MCSD, a sub packet with standard tax documents will be provided to process compensation.
