Reports To:
Program Manager Position Summary The Middle School Success Coordinator supports students in an Expanded Learning Program by coordinating tutoring, academic support, enrichment activities, and student engagement. This role works closely with students, families, tutors, school-day staff, and program leadership to help middle school students build academic skills, confidence, positive relationships, and school success.
The ideal candidate is organized, student-centered, and passionate about youth development, equity, and supporting middle school learners.

Pay Rate: $30–$33 per hour, based on regional grant funding and experience
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–5:30 PMUp to 15 paid holidays per year.

Key Responsibilities Coordinate and support tutoring services for up to 60 identified middle school students.
Provide homework help, academic support, and skill-building activities.
Facilitate engaging activities for groups of approximately 10–20 students.
Develop tutoring schedules for students, tutors, volunteers, and staff.
Collaborate with school-day teachers and site leadership to align support with student needs.
Track attendance, student engagement, academic progress, and required program data.
Communicate professionally with families, school staff, tutors, and program leadership.
Recruit, onboard, coach, and support tutors and volunteers.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Support ASES/21st CCLC compliance, reporting, and Continuous Quality Improvement efforts.
Attend required trainings, meetings, program events, and school-site activities.
Report incidents and safety concerns in a timely manner.
Complete additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications Associate degree or higher, or 48 college units, or passing score on the Instructional Aide exam.
Must pass criminal background check and TB clearance.
Must be available Monday–Friday during after-school program hours.
Must commit to the academic school year through mid-June.
Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Basic computer skills, including email, Word, Google Drive, Workday, and related platforms.
Ability to communicate effectively in English with students and families.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.
Must complete required trainings, including Mandated Reporter, Sexual Harassment Prevention, SEL/PQA, and others as assigned
Preferred Qualifications Experience working with middle school youth.
Experience in Expanded Learning, ASES, 21st CCLC, after-school, or youth development programs.
Experience providing tutoring, homework support, or academic intervention.
Experience supervising or coaching tutors, volunteers, or staff.
Background in education, youth development, social work, or community programs.
Bilingual skills are a plus
