M-TH, 8:00am-4:30pm, Friday 7:00am-3:30pmSUMMARYConservation Corps North Bay’s (CCNB) Career Pathways department provides support to all corps members so that they can succeed at CCNB and transition into their chosen career. Career Pathways staff lead career preparation workshops, guide each corps member in developing an individualized career and educational plan, connect corps members to community resources, facilitate job placements when corps members exit the program, and support corps member recruitment efforts.

Under the supervision of the Career Pathways Manager, the Marin Career Pathways Coordinator supervises staff and oversees implementation of the Career Pathways Program at CCNB’s Marin County site. As a member of one of CCNB’s three programming departments, the San Rafael Career Pathways Coordinator leads career preparation programs, connections to community resources, job placement assistance, and corps member recruitment activities. They are responsible for ensuring compliance with funding and certification requirements.

In addition, the Marin Career Pathways Coordinator also plays an active role on organization-wide projects and oversees the coaching and training of 1-2 Career Pathways Associates to ensure corps members successfully complete CCNB’s job training program.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Program Coordination and Staff Supervision Coordinate the successful implementation of Career Pathways department activities in Marin County Supervise, train, and oversee Career Pathways Associate(s)
Track and control program expenses in accordance with plans communicated by the Career Pathways Manager Create written materials for internal and external communications

Actively collaborate as a member of the Career Pathways team to understand programming needs and undertake a variety of special projects that support department and organizational goals

Participate in periodic new projects or committees focused on additional programming, education, supportive services, or recruitment activities

Communicate regularly with teachers from John Muir Charter School (CCNB’s onsite high school) to track corps members’ academic progress and discuss individual development needs.

Ensure all CCNB policies and procedures are followed

Career Preparation Program Coordinate and oversee the implementation of career preparation programs for Marin County corps members, including group workshops, internal and external trainings, and individualized coaching and support

Collaborate with the Career Pathways Manager and Sonoma Career Pathways Coordinator to create and manage an annual workshop schedule that complies with CCC requirements.

Plan and organize career preparation workshops that meet certification requirements and prepare corps members to enter the workforce. Develop appropriate curriculum to introduce corps members to career options, teach successful workplace readiness, and enhance job search skills.

Collaborate with Career Pathways Associates to lead career preparation workshops each week Guide and oversee Career Pathways Associates in providing one-on-one guidance to corps members. Ensure that all one-on-one meetings are recorded in Salesforce and documentation related to one-on-one guidance is maintained in accordance with grant and certification requirements.
