Middle School Spanish Teacher (75%) - Brandeis Marin, San Rafael, CA

We are currently seeking a Middle School Spanish teacher who is passionate about our mission and eager to take on a range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Teach Spanish to 6, 7th, and 8th-grade students in an independent Jewish day school.

Plan and deliver curriculum for beginning, intermediate, and advanced Spanish classes in a developmentally appropriate manner, with a strong emphasis on differentiating instruction and utilizing assessments effectively.

Foster an inclusive classroom environment by engaging in supportive interactions with students and establishing clear expectations for community behavior.

Employ a diverse range of instructional modalities to effectively teach Spanish.

Integrate various technology tools to enhance Spanish instruction and engagement.

Collaborate and communicate effectively with parents and staff members.

Articulate and exemplify the school’s mission and core values.

Adhere to and support school policies.

Be a positive and contributing member of the professional community.

Details

Position Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required, in subject matter preferred.
  • Fluency in modern Spanish.
  • Teaching credential or Master's Degree preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of teaching in an independent school setting is preferred.
  • Eligible to work in the US.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and facilitative skills.
  • Collaborative work ethic
  • Good sense of humor and warm demeanor
