College & Career Fellow
The College & Career Fellows provide the most direct support to scholars and families by providing guidance for succeeding in college and the workforce, assisting with financial aid application, facilitating college readiness, hosting success workshops, and representing the organization at fundraising and appreciation events. Fellows tend to be recent college graduates who can relate to the backgrounds of the students we serve.
This position is a 3-year commitment and offers broad professional development to prepare Fellows for career advancement opportunities in the workforce.

To perform the essential functions of this position, employees may be required to: sit, stand, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard. Have close-vision ability due to computer work. Engage in moderate, occasional lifting. Have a reliable means of transportation to attend regular work as well as other off-site business functions.

Core accountabilities include: student-centered success, school & community engagement, data-informed documentation, and professional readiness.
Responsibilities include advising and leading students and families through college and career planning, delivering curriculum and training, managing an assigned caseload, being present on-campus for student outreach, building relationships with stakeholders, traveling regularly, participating in staff meetings, supporting and representing 10,000 Degrees at events, and executing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree, experience in a client- or student-service position, geographic proximity to the region(s) being served, bilingual Spanish/English a plus, high level of professionalism, excellent presentation and communication skills, strong administrative, organization, and time-management skills, proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suite applications, demonstrated enthusiasm and initiative, willingness to learn and be self-reflective, lived experience aligned with the communities served by 10,000 Degrees, and alumni of 10,000 Degrees scholarships a plus.
