Purpose:

The EXL Program Instructor delivers high-quality expanded learning experiences that support the academic, social-emotional, and developmental growth of K–12 youth. Grounded in BACR’s values of Compassion, Curiosity, Humility, Integrity, and Joy, this role creates safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environments where every student feels valued, respected, and connected.

Program Instructors build meaningful relationships with youth, foster a strong sense of belonging, and ensure equitable access to learning and enrichment opportunities for students of all backgrounds, abilities, identities, and experiences. Instructors use culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approaches to support student success while collaborating with families, school staff, and colleagues to meet diverse student needs.

Pay rate: $24 - $27 an hour, based on regional grant funding and experience Hours negotiated upon hiring (20 –26.5 hours per week, depending on location and need)

Recognize when students need support beyond the program’s capacity and communicate concerns to the coordinator.
