- Conduct Capital Market audit engagements to critically assess management and internal control processes.
- Approve the nature, extent and timing of audits, oversee execution, and formulate insightful audit reports.
- Report audit findings to provide concise insights to management and the Board of Directors.
- Provide independent assurance on the quality and effectiveness of internal control, risk management, and governance systems.
- Act as a trusted advisor, influence, negotiate, and achieve business objectives.
- Identify emerging issues and trends to inform decision‑making.
- Offer critical input to lead auditors on the practical aspects of audit execution.
- Help develop the annual audit plan and identify opportunities to simplify corporate audit processes.
- Execute audits, including enterprise‑level capstone audits, and conduct advisory engagements.
- Determine the impact of changing strategies, tactics, risks, and initiatives on audit, advisory, and investigative services.
- Assess new and emerging technology and technology risk on the organization’s processes and control environment.
- Utilize data analytics in advisory engagements to improve quality and efficiencies.
- Maintain independence of the audit practice and personnel.
- Develop and present objective, clear, and timely audit reports with fair and balanced assessment of governance, risk, and control processes.
- Identify control deficiencies and assess their magnitude.
- Maintain working knowledge of industry, regulatory, and economic environments.
- Ensure audit procedures align with Corporate Audit Methodology and quality assurance standards.
- Exercise sound judgment, communicate effectively, and foster good relationships with stakeholders.
- Support Corporate Audit change initiatives and maintain professional audit qualifications.
- 5+ years of relevant Capital Markets audit experience.
- Post‑secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Professional designations such as CIA, CPA‑Audit, or equivalent business designation.
- Deep technical proficiency and industry knowledge.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong collaboration and team skills.
- Analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Influence and negotiation skills.
- Data‑driven decision‑making capabilities.
Hybrid work model requiring 3 days a week in the Chicago office (subject to change).
Salary Range: $74,000.00 – $ per year. Additional compensation may include performance‑based incentives and discretionary bonuses.
