- Focus on underwriting in BMO's Asset Based Lending (ABL) Group.
- Handle current and new customer calling and pitching.
- Manage 7-10 customers while underwriting new borrowers and training team members.
- Perform decisioning and analysis of all types of credit information to support lending decisions for BMO.
- Oversee credit and legal documentation and ongoing monitoring of asset and client performance.
- Provide accurate financial analysis and risk assessment of new and existing customers.
- Prepare concise, well‑reasoned credit correspondence.
- Coordinate preparation of lending proposals and pitches to prospective clients to maximize penetration and returns.
- Negotiate transactions with clients and provide deal structuring expertise.
- Manage workflow of other analysts by aligning tasks with departmental goals and objectives.
- Develop credit information to make lending decisions on new, renewal, and extension loans.
- Assist in negotiations of terms and conditions via phone and e‑mail interaction with clients.
- Prepare summaries, present facts, and offer opinions concerning creditworthiness.
- Establish cross‑selling initiatives to increase client penetration.
- Apply knowledge of bank products, processes, and systems and troubleshoot to ensure a high‑quality client experience.
- Coordinate closing with closing department, clients, and attorneys as needed.
- Minimize BMO’s risk exposure by adhering to internal credit policies and procedures.
- Provide specialized consulting, analytical, and technical support.
- Exercise judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
- Work independently and handle non‑routine situations.
- 4–7 years of relevant experience and a post‑secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bilingual – English plus Mandarin and/or Korean (required).
- Deep knowledge and technical proficiency gained through extensive education and business experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Salary: $88,800.00 – $ (Salaried). Compensation may include a commission structure and performance‑based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other perks. Benefits include health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident and life insurance, and retirement savings plans.
