Job Overview

Position:
Full Time Analyst in Global Markets Corporate Banking at BMO Capital Markets. The analyst will focus on one or more portfolios and support the account management team in the Capital Markets Sales & Service Group.

Responsibilities
  • Credit Analysis & Due Diligence:
    Research and analyze financial and operating information of companies and industries, assess financial soundness of counter parties, perform credit risk analysis, and provide findings to the account management team.
  • Credit Documentation and Presentations:
    Lead AML/KYC processing, assist with review and negotiation of legal documentation, prepare concise credit applications and memoranda for new and existing transactions, and create presentations for credit partners and stakeholders.
  • Risk and Portfolio Management:
    Conduct continuous monitoring of transactions and client performance, manage daily valuation and loan‑to‑value calculations, perform annual reviews and covenant monitoring, and update financing guidelines.
  • Professional Development:
    Train on required systems, utilize AI tools, adhere to bank policies, deepen industry knowledge, attend relevant conferences, and stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory developments.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree or current enrollment with a December
    2026 or Spring
    2027 graduation date, compulsory coursework in finance, economics, or accounting, and a minimum GPA of3.4.
  • Excellent analytical skills and solid knowledge of finance, banking, and financial markets principles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration in a demanding team environment.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment and adaptable to frequent market, systems, and process changes.
  • Highly motivated self‑starter able to work with limited supervision, results focused, detail oriented, and creative in problem solving.
  • Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple projects and provide detailed information daily.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated leadership in extracurricular activities.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and no future sponsorship required.
Preferred Skillsets
  • Ability to build cash flow and other financial models.
  • Experience in corporate banking, credit analysis, and credit risk management.
  • Knowledge of lending and portfolio management policies and objectives.
  • Familiarity with loans, derivative facilities, and related capital markets products and regulations.
  • Formal credit training.
  • Proficiency with financial computer applications and database management tools (Moody’s, Capital IQ, Bloomberg).
Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this position is USD $95,000. Salaries may vary based on location, skills, experience, and qualifications and may include a commission structure. Total compensation may incorporate performance‑based incentives, discretionary bonuses, and other perks.
