Float Relationship Banker

• Build relationships with customers through face-to-face engagement and provide banking counsel
• Assess and attend to customers’ banking needs
• Obtain and process customer and account information
• Educate clients on deposit and loan products and services
• Recommend financial solutions based on customers’ goals and needs
• Originate and close consumer loans
• Open accounts and open and/or close the branch
• Build and foster client relationships through proactive outreach and follow-up
• Identify solutions for new and existing clients
• Maintain working knowledge of consumer and business banking products and digital services
• Greet clients and process basic transactions
• Develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners
• Open consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications
• Educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products
• Leverage resources and technologies to optimize client experience and operational accuracy

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Relationship Banker 2: typically a minimum four to five years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
• Senior Relationship Banker: typically five or more years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
• Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up
• Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
• Thorough or advanced knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems
• Thorough knowledge of all retail products and services
• Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
• Experience participating in sales campaigns/promotions
• Experience using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies
• Ability to explore and identify a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital-first mindset
• Demonstrated advanced proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customers’ needs reactively and proactively
• National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration required under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
• Required NMLS registration process includes criminal background and credit checks
• Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and workplace conduct and safety policies
