We’re looking for a Windows Systems Engineer who is highly skilled in enterprise Windows administration, Azure environments, and virtualization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hybrid infrastructure ecosystems—moving fluidly between on-prem environments, Azure services, and mission‑critical Windows server operations.
You’ll own configurations, deployments, AD/Azure identity management, virtualization management, backup/recovery operations, and escalated support across a fast‑paced environment. If you enjoy being the person who ensures systems stay performant, secure, resilient, and well‑architected, this role is a strong match.
🧩 What You’ll Do- Design and deploy Windows server environments: Build and configure Windows 2012–2022 servers to support enterprise workloads and evolving business needs.
- Manage Azure AD / Entra cloud services: Administer authentication policies, MFA/SSO, virtual machines, storage, networking, and supporting Azure IaaS/PaaS workloads.
- Lead system upgrades, migrations, and modernization efforts: Support Azure migration work, on‑prem server refreshes, and lifecycle initiatives across infrastructure components.
- Administer virtualization platforms: Manage Hyper‑V and VMware environments to ensure scalability, performance, and efficiency.
- Maintain system stability and security: Monitor, patch, tune, and remediate issues across Windows infrastructure, enforcing best practices and compliance requirements.
- Perform backup and recovery operations: Execute daily backup tasks, validate recovery processes, and ensure continuity readiness.
- Provide advanced (Tier 2/3) technical support: Troubleshoot issues across hardware, software, AD, networking, and cloud systems while documenting root cause and resolutions.
- Automate with Power Shell: Develop scripts to streamline deployments, maintenance, and operational processes.
- Develop and maintain documentation: Create runbooks, configuration guides, diagrams, and operational procedures.
- Participate in on‑call rotations and operational monitoring: Support after‑hours incidents, daily checks, and proactive system health analysis.
- 5+ years of hands‑on Windows system engineering or enterprise administration experience.
- Strong experience with Azure AD/Entra , Office 365, and Azure IaaS/PaaS services.
- Proficiency managing Hyper‑V, VMware, and virtualized enterprise environments.
- Applied expertise with Windows Server 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022.
- Strong Power Shell automation experience.
- Experience with SCCM, Intune, imaging, scripting, and endpoint management tools.
- Ability to design, document, and implement secure, scalable infrastructure solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and performance optimization skills.
- Experience leading upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure enhancements.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated initiative, ownership, and ability to manage competing priorities.
- U.S. work authorization + valid driver’s license (TWIC required).
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience accepted in lieu of degree.
