Position Summary

The Reporting Development Lead will be a key member of the Enterprise Data Excellence group within the ERP Center of Excellence (COE). Reporting to the Head of Data Quality, Reporting, and Analytics, this role will manage a team of external report developers to deliver right‑first‑time KPIs, reporting and dashboarding solutions using SAP Data Sphere, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Power BI.

The position will also establish and manage an intake process for collecting reporting requirements from business stakeholders and maintain a self‑service reporting catalog of all reports, KPIs, and dashboards. Experience with GxP compliance and validation processes within the life sciences industry is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of external report developers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of reporting solutions.
  • Oversee the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of reports and dashboards using SAP Data Sphere, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Power BI.
  • Develop and manage an intake process for capturing and prioritizing reporting requirements from business stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain a centralized self‑service reporting catalog including all reports, KPIs, and dashboards.
  • Ensure all reporting solutions adhere to GxP compliance and validation requirements within the life sciences industry.
  • Collaborate with functional teams, Data Stewards, Global Process Owners, Business Process Managers, and IT to align reporting solutions with business needs and ERP data standards.
  • Attend and engage with existing data governance committees to collect requirements, align policies, and provide status updates.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in reporting and analytics development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience with SAP Data Sphere, SAP Business Data Cloud, SAP Analytics Cloud, and Power BI.
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems and enterprise data management principles.
  • Mandatory experience in GxP compliance and validation processes within the life sciences industry.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Technical Qualifications
  • Proficiency in SAC scripting (JavaScript‑based) for advanced logic.
  • Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
  • Knowledge of Power BI or other BI tools (for hybrid environments).
  • Understanding of cloud architecture and data security.
  • Analytical and design skills:
    Ability to design intuitive dashboards and KPIs.
  • Strong grasp of data visualization best practices.
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimizing queries.
  • Ability to create key KPIs and metrics based on desired metrics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP Certification
  • SAP Certification in SAC, Data Sphere, BDC

The salary range for this position is: $155,200 to $213,400. Bio Marin considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock‑based long‑term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
